La Zebra Restaurant

La Zebra Restaurant sought a refresh that would modernize the dining experience while preserving the strong sense of place that has always defined the property. Maintaining its authentic Mexican identity was essential throughout the redesign process.

The project focused on creating a lighter and more welcoming atmosphere through carefully selected materials and custom design elements inspired by the Yucatán region. Bamboo seating, handwoven henequen rope curtains, and suspended canopy installations introduced texture, movement, and visual separation within the restaurant while reinforcing its connection to local craftsmanship and culture.

The renovation also extended to the guest restrooms, where custom-designed Mexican tiles were developed to create a distinctive identity for each space. Existing architectural elements were thoughtfully preserved and reinterpreted, allowing the project to balance design impact with operational efficiency.

New flooring improved durability, maintenance, and guest comfort while maintaining the natural aesthetic of the restaurant. The result is a space that feels authentic, contemporary, and deeply connected to its cultural surroundings, creating a memorable experience for both hotel guests and visitors.
