Zama Village

Zama Village was a renovation project created for homeowners seeking to refresh an aging property while addressing common challenges associated with tropical climates, including humidity, material deterioration, and long-term durability.

The design focused on replacing damaged finishes with more resilient materials, including custom cedar wood elements, while introducing locally sourced artwork and authentic Mexican textiles to bring warmth, character, and a stronger sense of place.

Rather than completely reinventing the space, the goal was to preserve its functionality while giving it a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic suited to modern living in Tulum.

The result is a refreshed and durable home that feels brighter, more inviting, and better equipped for years of enjoyment.
